Introduction

The event that I have selected is the Worldwide Festival. The event was held at the Singapore Arts Museum on 7 May 2009. The event was to promote a new upcoming genre of music. It introduces the new younger generation a more sophisticated and out-of-the-box music genre. It is a platform for all kinds of musical expressions from around the world to gather and share the experience for all music lovers. It last for a period of 4 days in many different venues this time in Singapore and could be held in a few countries every year. The founder of the event is Gilles Peterson and he is also a DJ himself. He also hosts the Worldwide Festival Radio Station, BBC Radio 1.
